Friendly Visitor ProgramAs we enter a new year, perhaps some time could be set aside to devote to visiting a Senior in Shelby County. A friendly visit or a phone visit could make their day! Visits may be made to senior citizens living in homes or Assisted Living Facilities. Maybe you'd rather visit in a group setting? Then, come along when group visits are planned. Look for those dates on the calendar, page 6. Volunteers could offer card playing, special music or even manicures for seniors wanting their fingernails painted. Get started today! Shelby Senior Services provides transportation to clients for various medical appointments in Indianapolis, Columbus, Franklin, Greenwood and other surrounding counties. If you would like to be a part of this needed program call LuAnn at 317-398-0127 weekdays between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. or e-mail her. MusicThere is a piano and organ at the Senior Center just waiting for your graceful hand! Music seems to always put a smile on our faces. If you are one of these talented people we would love to have you share your talent with us. Also, if you have your own instrument or love to sing, please call 317-392-9727.
